Akasa Air has reached a new operational milestone as the number of daily departures crosses 200. The airline, which calls itself India’s fastest-growing carrier, announced a network expansion that adds new routes and increases flight frequency across several key regions. The move signals a deliberate push to strengthen its presence in both domestic and international markets while offering travellers more options.
Deepening presence in North India
Akasa Air is expanding from the national capital, Delhi, where it operates 196 weekly departures. The carrier now flies non-stop to 14 cities, including new daily service on the Delhi–Visakhapatnam route. With the expansion, Akasa Air now operates 1X daily flights on the Delhi–Visakhapatnam route, while adding 2X daily flights to Mumbai and 1X daily flight each to Bengaluru and Goa. The enhanced schedule strengthens Delhi’s connectivity with key metro and non-metro markets while providing travellers with greater choice throughout the day.
New stations in Rajasthan have joined the network. The airline began operations from Jaipur and Udaipur, connecting both cities to Bengaluru and Mumbai with direct daily flights. It also increased direct flights from Chandigarh to Bengaluru and Goa. These changes deepen connectivity between major economic centres and emerging destinations across the north.
Scaling operations in the South
Akasa Air has significantly expanded its footprint in South India, particularly in Bengaluru, Kochi and Kozhikode. The airline offers non-stop connections from Bengaluru to 19 domestic destinations and three international cities: Abu Dhabi, Phuket and Jeddah. Additional frequencies on metro and non-metro routes reinforce Bengaluru’s role as a central node in the network.
Strengthening metro corridors
The airline continues to increase frequency on high-demand routes between major metros. Passengers can choose from multiple morning and evening departures on this route. The airline operates Mumbai–Delhi 6X daily, complemented by Navi Mumbai–Delhi 1X daily, providing travellers with multiple departures across the day.
