ASICS, a leading running brand, has introduced five simple escape rituals to promote mental and physical wellbeing. According to the campaign, these rituals can be practiced daily and require just 15 minutes to implement.

Natasha Rothwell, ASICS’ Everyday Escape Concierge, emphasizes the importance of movement, saying “You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars or fly halfway across the world to feel better. Your Everyday Escape could be a walk, a stretch, a dance in your kitchen.”

The first ritual, “Wake up and move,” involves giving oneself 15 minutes to move before showering or having coffee. This can be a brisk walk, power intervals, or a quick run, allowing the body to wake up first.

Another ritual, “Incentive,” suggests walking or jogging to a favorite café, using the promise of a flat white or pastry as motivation. Alternatively, one can swap their screen time for a walk, taking a 15-minute catch-up on the sidewalk instead of sitting at a desk.

The “Warm up like you’re heading to the court” ritual involves stretching, lunging, and swinging to energize and strengthen the body. This can be done daily, even if not engaging in sports, to find one’s rhythm.

Finally, finding a set of stairs, even if it’s during the morning commute, can help set in motion life-changing habits. Taking the stairs instead of the escalator at a tube stop can be a simple yet effective way to get moving.

By incorporating these rituals into daily life, individuals can take their body and mind to a happier place. For more information, visit asics.com/everydayescape.

Natasha Rothwell notes that it is not necessary to spend a lot of money or travel far to feel better. She says that a simple walk, stretch, or dance in the kitchen can be an effective escape. ASICS’ campaign aims to promote mental and physical wellbeing by providing easy-to-follow rituals.

These rituals are designed to be simple and easy to incorporate into daily life. They can be practiced by anyone, regardless of their fitness level or schedule. The rituals include waking up and moving, using incentives to motivate physical activity, warming up like an athlete, and finding ways to get moving throughout the day.
